LP – Lost On You

This is a singer songwriter whose work you probably know, but as an artist she seemed to be a well kept secret until a breakthrough track and European tour this year. Now it’s time to enjoy this and then have fun discovering everything we all missed in her back catalogue.

Who is LP?

Laura Pergolizzi is a singer songwriter from New York who has written for Cher and Cher Lloyd – who else has done that?! Her songs have also been recorded by Rihanna (“Cheers (Drink To That)”), Leona Lewis, Greyson Chance, Ella Henderson, Backstreet Boys and The Veronicas. Virtually the A-Z of pop. The B-V, at least.

Weirdly, she has put out several albums and singles of her own stuff to virtually no response, but this song found an audience across Europe and is coming out in the US in December 2016. As of right now (November 2016) it’s one of the world’s most Shazamed pop songs that British people probably haven’t heard yet. But you will. Or at least should. She has one of those “where have you been all this time?” kind of voices that will not let your radio go.
